Getting Started in an Allied Health Career
Step 1: Complete our Online Application
The first step to starting your allied health career with Onward Healthcare is to complete our simple 4-step online application. Upon entering your personal profile, you will need to specify whether you are interested in a local per diem allied healthcare job or a travel allied health job.
Step 2: Speak with an Onward Recruiter
Once you complete your online application, you will be contacted by an Onward allied health recruiter who will work with you one-on-one through your search process of rehab and therapy jobs. They will discuss your allied health career goals, location preferences, work experience and choice of setting. He/she will also review your application, skills checklist, references and any additional information that is required by OSHA and the Joint Commission. Our facilities may also require health clearance paperwork and licensure verification.
Step 3: Interview with the Facility
After you have completed the registration process, your allied health recruiter will work with one of our dedicated client service managers to identify all available allied health jobs and therapy jobs that best match your individual preferences. They will then recommend those opportunities that they feel are the best fit for you. Upon your approval, your recruiter will then coordinate interviews with the facilities you are interested in, which will generally be done via telephone.
Following your set of interviews, Onward Healthcare will send you a confirmation of any potential offers for rehab or therapy jobs and coordinate relevant benefits and pay information related to your allied health job assignment. You will then have the opportunity to choose the allied health job that you feel is the best fit, based on your research and the information you received on your phone interview.
Step 5: Begin your Allied Health Career
Once you have completed the compliance / credentialing process, you will be ready to embark on your travel allied career. As part of Onward's leading benefits package, you will receive licensure reimbursement, round-trip travel reimbursement and free private housing or the option of a housing stipend on your new assignment. In addition, your Onward allied recruiter and service support team will be available to you throughout the duration of your assignment for any questions or concerns you many have regarding your rehab or therapy job.
