Getting Started In A Per Diem Nursing Job

The first step to become a registered Onward Healthcare local contract nurse is to complete anĀ online application for per diem nursing. Upon entering your personal profile and indicating an interest in a per diem position, you will be asked where you would like to work. Once you complete the simple application process, you will then be assigned an Onward Recruiter from the appropriate branch office that services your region.

Your recruiter will then contact you to determine your nursing career goals, specialties, previous nursing experience, location preferences, and availability. They will then help you complete the registration process by reviewing the additional information that is required by the Joint Commission, OSHA and our facilities, such as health clearance paperwork, licensure verification and taking a qualifying exam.

After you have completed the registration process, your recruiter will work with one of our dedicated client service managers to present your per diem nurse application and capabilities to appropriate facilities based on your availability and work requirements.

Once they have identified a schedule that meets your work preferences, he/she will call you to confirm your availability and provide you with all the necessary details of the nursing job. Over time, you may customize your schedule as needed based on your individual requirements. As you continue to work with us, you will become eligible for additional benefits based on the number of hours worked.

Our healthcare professionals always come first with Onward, which is why we want to help you find the working environment that best suits you. Please contact us today at the appropriate branch location or get started on your online application to begin local contract work with Onward!
