Job Description & Requirements

Perioperative Nurse - Operating Room Nurse

CHI St. Joseph Health is a regional health system with five hospitals, two long-term care facilities, more than 30 clinics and a Medicare Shared Savings ACO. Its roots date back to the 1930s, when the Sisters of Francis of Sylvania (Ohio) brought a hospital to Bryan and named it after Saint Joseph. This hospital grew into St. Joseph Health System, which joined Catholic Health Initiatives in 2014. CHI St. Joseph formed a partnership with Texas A&M Health Science Center in 2015, and this year announced plans to strengthen that partnership by launching a co-branded primary care network in the Brazos Valley. CHI St. Joseph Health also earned accolades as one of the IBM Watson Health 15 Top Health Systems in 2018. Our surgical team includes specialists in every discipline, and offers state-of-the-art surgical, laparoscopic, and other non-invasive surgical options. With 16 full-service operating rooms in our surgery center, including two specialized neurosurgical suites and two specialized orthopedic operating suites, you won’t find another hospital in the Brazos Valley that is equipped quite like us. We also offer two endoscopy suites, a cystoscopy suite, and a 22-bed ambulatory surgery unit for outpatient procedures. Our operating rooms are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to support our emergency department, the region's only Level II Trauma Center.
