Progressive Care Nurse

It is recognized locally, regionally and nationally for quality healthcare and is consistently ranked one of the nation's best hospitals. UNIT INFO: •These positions are for the Neurology Epilepsy Monitoring unit at Riverside Hospital. Acute care interventional telemetry-medical surgical unit, 32 private beds, acuity ranges from moderate to high (frequent neuro checks), 1:4-5 nurse patient ratio. Patient population includes epilepsy, myasthenia gravis, stroke, multiple sclerosis, NPH, migraine, encephalopathy, brain mass, hemicraniectomy, other neurological/neurosurgical diagnoses. 1:8-10 PSA patient ratio. No ventilated patients. Heparin, argatroban, cardizem, amiodarone, insulin, ketamine drips. We need self-starters, natural leaders and nurses who are able to provide excellent bedside care and customer service at all times.

Required Qualifications

-3.5 years of experience+ travel -Must have large hospital and trauma center experienceMust hold -ACLS -BLS -Must have STRONG experience with neurological and neurosurgical patients -Must be able to read and interpret Telemetry independently. -First time travelers will only be considered if they have 5 years of experience in a high acuity unit and hospital. Travel experience will take screening priority
