Job Description & Requirements

Surgical Technologist - Operating Room

state-of-the-art 352-bed hospital in Downey, CA. Built in 2009 this hospital has 95 percent family-friendly private rooms. It includes a variety of environmentally friendly features such as large windows to allow for an abundance of natural light, carpeting made from recycled materials, use of 100 percent of fresh air and no recirculation, and paint made from non-toxic materials. Unit Patient population: SD to ICU Vents Post MI’s CHF Post ops. Floating required when necessary where qualified to work: MS, OTC, Tele as needed based on census. Certifcations/Skills required: BLS, ACLS, Telemetry and Ventilator management. Special Medications: some vasoactive drips but do not titrate. Scrubs Nurse provides their own.

Required Qualifications

1. National Certification, must be NBSTSA 2. BLS

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with minimal access, general, ENT, eyes, plastics, orthopedics, spines, urology, GYN, podiatry and maxiofacial surgeries. Including video, orthopedic equipment and all other needed equipment to do the above surgeries preferred. One year acute care OR experience within the last three years.
