Job Description & Requirements

Medical Surgical Nurse

-Duties: Will do infusion therapy, patient scheduling, drug ordering, etc. Working with Healix gives you the opportunity to work in an autonomous and interdisciplinary team work environment within a physician office setting. Our nurses manage the coordination of care and nursing functions of an infusion site with the practice, pharmacy, and Healix business office. They are responsible for hospital discharge planning, referral management, and drug and supply inventories. They have the opportunity to interact with patients on a daily basis by instructing them of the medication and disease process, educating and administering drugs, and safely monitoring and following up as needed. JOB DESCRIPTION- Comprehensive nursing assessment Establish IV access Patient teaching and/or instructions of medication and disease process Medication administration Patient safety, monitoring, and follow-up Managing the nursing functions of the site Coordinating patient care with pharmacist and physician

Required Qualifications

1. Current NC or compact RN License (#/expiration) 2. 2 years of experience 3. Strong infusion skills 4. Recent IV therapy exp needed. 5. Experience with Peripheral IVs and central line management. Must be ok working INDEPENDENTLY.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Critical care experience
