Job Description & Requirements

Progressive Care Nurse

P7 is a 32 bed unit with patient: nurse ratios of 3:1 and 4:1. Looking for candidates with 2-3 years of inpatient clinical nursing. The patient acuity on P7 is intermediate/stepdown so nurses with ICU, IMU, PCU experience are preferred. P7 receives patients requiring cardiac monitoring. Common medications titrated on the unit are Cardizem, amiodarone, heparin, insulin and Lasix. RN will manage care for tracheostomies and chest tubes. Strong post-surgical experience a plus. Large teaching hospital experience a plus.

Required Qualifications

2 years exp--firm TX RN lic or compact state lic BLS, ACLS P7 is a 32 bed unit with patient: nurse ratios of 3:1 and 4:1. Looking for candidates with 2-3 years of inpatient clinical nursing.
