Progressive Care Nurse

21 bed unit. As a small community hospital, the manager of the PCU is looking for candidates that are team players with a positive attitude and who are flexible. These units see patients with Sepsis, withdrawals, COPD and some end of life care. They do not have a Cath Lab at St Clare and patients require cardiac interventions are sent to sister facilities for those procedures. Travelers and local contract employees are included in any morale boosting events such as Secret Santa to encourage a team atmosphere and to ensure that contingent workers feel as though they are a part of the team " Ratios: PCU 4:1 with C.N.A support " Charge nurses do not generally take patients " ICU and PCU have separate charge nurses on day shift " One charge nurse is responsible for both the ICU and PCU on the night shift " Contract RN's are the first to float. RN's will be required to float to Med Surg and will on occasion be required to float to the ER to assist with inpatient assignments that are holding " Contract RN's are given 1-2 days of Epic training depending on their experience with the EMR and are given approximately

Required Qualifications

Years of Experience: 1. Winter Seasonal Order - Start dates are 10/23 or 10/30. Please submit accordingly. WA License in hand SSN " PCU required 1-2 years minimum experience " Epic experience strongly preferred " BLS, ACLS and an NIHSS are required for these units MUST HAVE TRAVEL EXPERIENCE
