Registered Nurse – Intensive Care - ICU

Beds in unit: PCU: 11, CCU: 12, CCU Overflow: 10, Age Groups of Patients: Adolescants, Adults, Geriatrics. Unit Patient Population: Coronary Artery Disease Patients, MI, Chest Pain, Angina, minor Post-Cardiac Cath, CHF, COPD, Renal, Diabetes, Hypertention, Respiratory patients, CAPD, Vents. Float to: CCU/PCU/Tele/MS daily. Orientation is done on both CCU, PCU, and Tele. Cardio version, ventilator patient management, ABG's interpretation, pacemaker- permanent and temporary. CCU- Each RN does rounds with MD/Intensivists. PCU- Charge RN does rounds on all patients. ICU/PCU/CCU float - RN could be stationed in any of these units
