Post-Anesthesia Care Unit - PACU Nurse

In 2012, our hospital received an "A" Hospital Safety Score from The Leapfrog Group. Total # of beds in the unit: 11 Beds Main Pacu Phase I, Phase II Fast Track: 8 Beds. 200+. Average daily census is: 100. Nurse to patient ratios 1:2 for all shifts. No Ancillary Staff. Patient’s age: Pediatrics and Adults. Staff works in 8 hour shifts. Unit patient population: GYN, General & lots of Plastics, No Open Heart. Special Unit Procedures and Interventions Preformed on Unit Skills/Requirements/Certifications of r Nurses: Must have Critical Care experience as well. Must have great critical thinking skills. Experience in Plastics, Laproscopic, GYN, Urology & General. Documentation System: Flow chart. Acuity System -Catalyst. Supplemental Staff required to float when necessary. RN provides their own scrubs, prefer purple

Required Qualifications

1. BLS, ACLS, PALS 2. 2 Years Pacu experience within the last 3 years 3. Must pass EKG test upon arrival to continue assignment 4. Need PACU experience, facility will not accept clinicians with just ICU experience
