Job Description & Requirements

Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse

Level 4 NICU Manager is looking for very strong skilled level 3 or 4 (must have pre/post op surgical experience) Must be flexible with working either 12 hour rotations shifts or straight nights. NO DAY SHIFT POSITIONS OFFERED. If traveler chooses rotation shift they will follow the same 4 week schedules core staff follows. Rotators who begin their contract halfway through a schedule will need to work two weeks of nights or days (depending on which shift they are assigned by manager), then work a full 4 week schedule of the opposite shift, and continue to rotate shifts from there. Travelers are allowed to self-schedule with the expectation of the traveler properly rotating themselves (if they are a rotator), working every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday for day shift and Friday/Saturday/Sunday for night shift) and 2/3 holidays. All travelers must be willing to work 7 shifts in a bi-weekly pay period and very flexible with their schedules. All time off must be requested within their contract even if it is just one shift they need off. This unit doesn’t allow more than two travelers off at any given time. So reserve your time off immediately if it is needed. Travelers are first to float in this organization and it is requirement for this assignment. Traveler must have own form of transportation. CA RN license. active BLS (AHA only) NRP Cert; Minimum 2 years of NICU Level 3/4 with strong pre/post op surgical experience; must be willing to float.
