Job Description & Requirements

Pediatric Rehabilitation Nurse

Unit: Bernardy Center (Skilled Nursing) Duration: 13 or 26 week Shift: 12 hr. N/V Anticipated start date: 10/29/2018 Requirements: **Must be comfortable and prior experience with Trach and Vent patient care** * Current CA RN license * BLS/CPR required * PALS preferred. * Shift: most likely nights but could be varying 12 hr. Shifts * Prior RN Charge Sub-Acute * 1 yrs. pediatric experience in a major facility/1 yr. travel experience preferred/computerized charting

Required Qualifications

CA RN lic, BLS Charge Experience: Bernardy Center Charge Nurse is responsible for independently applying the nursing process through the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation & documentation of pediatric patient care. Selects & administers the appropriate care, taking into consideration the age, developmental level & size of the patient. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health, healing & quality of life. Able to identify own limitations & seeks resources, as needed. Acts as role model & resource person providing clinical leadership to other staff members & ensures quality clinical practices, skills, & developmentally appropriate activities for the residents.
