Surgical Technologist - Pediatric Operating Room - Travel - (Surg Tech - OR - Peds - Pedi)
Under the general direction of the Director/Team Leader, and the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the OR Scrub Tech sets up and scrubs for all surgical procedures. Implements aseptic techniques and OR protocols as a member of a surgical team. Selects and administers appropriate instruments/supplies and equipment related to age, developmental level and size of the patient. Unit Summary: 16 suites. 20,000 cases per year. Shifts variable. No certification required. Service Lines: Ortho, Neuro, Craniofacial, ENT, Dermatology, Laser, Plastics, Endo, Dental, Urology, General (including videoscopy), cardiac, neruo, kidney and liver transplants. On Call Staff and work in-house for trauma coverage.

About the Facility
This not-for-profit 475-bed medical center is the only hospital in the San Diego area that is dedicated solely to pediatric care and boasts the nation's only designated pediatric trauma center. The facility maintains a clinical partnership with UCSD's Medical School and is regarded as a premier teaching hospital for training pediatric physicians.
